Reports
-
Individual patient reports detailing the DirectHit™ results are available six business days from the scheduled sample testing date.
-
Each report provides expression scores for each biomarker and a recommendation for treatment, utilizing the mechanistically related drug.
-
Please note that CCCD will provide treatment recommendations for Estrogen Receptor (Antiestrogens), HER-2/neu, beta tubulin isoform III (Taxanes) and Thymidylate Synthase (5-Flurouracil).
-
Expression scores without treatment recommendation are provided for Topoisomerase IIa (Anthracyclines), Ribonucleotide Reductase (Gemcitibine) and HER-2/neu (Trastuzumab). Currently, these expression scores are for physician information only. Future plans are to include treatment recommendations for these DRI.
-
All expression scores are provided in DRI units (DRIU). One DRIU is defined as the number of IgG-fluorescent conjugate molecules in a unit area (pixel) of an image that will yield an average fluorescence/pixel of 2000 at the appropriate exposure time.
-
The DirectHit report form is divided into four sections; Patient Information, Assay Description, DirectHit Results and Treatment Recommendation. Each report is reviewed by CCCD Quality Control Department and signed by the Laboratory Director prior to issue.
