Reports

  1. Individual patient reports detailing the DirectHit™ results are available six business days from the scheduled sample testing date.

  2. Each report provides expression scores for each biomarker and a recommendation for treatment, utilizing the mechanistically related drug.

  3. Please note that CCCD will provide treatment recommendations for Estrogen Receptor (Antiestrogens), HER-2/neu, beta tubulin isoform III (Taxanes) and Thymidylate Synthase (5-Flurouracil).

  4. Expression scores without treatment recommendation are provided for Topoisomerase IIa (Anthracyclines), Ribonucleotide Reductase (Gemcitibine) and HER-2/neu (Trastuzumab). Currently, these expression scores are for physician information only. Future plans are to include treatment recommendations for these DRI.

  5. All expression scores are provided in DRI units (DRIU). One DRIU is defined as the number of IgG-fluorescent conjugate molecules in a unit area (pixel) of an image that will yield an average fluorescence/pixel of 2000 at the appropriate exposure time.

  6. The DirectHit report form is divided into four sections; Patient Information, Assay Description, DirectHit Results and Treatment Recommendation. Each report is reviewed by CCCD Quality Control Department and signed by the Laboratory Director prior to issue.
